Ok they're not finished yet but I've reached the stage where I'm happy to share them for some feedback and suggestions
Mainly detail work and highlighting left to do.
Bases are slate and ash.
Will add chevrons as the final touch

They look good but they need some hazard stripes.

Try the empty should pad or even the back of their greaves.

Can you explain how you made the dark metal? I'm looking for ideas on my Dark Eldar and I think that would look super on them. Thanks!

The fluff says black shoulder pads but the greaves is a good idea. Although i'm not a fan of ott hazard stripes.
As for the dark metal, its just leadbelcher, black wash, drybrush leadbelcher then agrax earthshade and highlight

Got some hazard stripes done and started the trophy racks.
I know my stripes aren't the best but they're my first attempt

My suggestion on hazard stripes or chevrons ( I think chevrons look better... ) if you are starting out, and want something to look even on the. Model, start by painting the middle most stripe or chevron. It's the most visible, and since it sets where you start painting from, whatever deviation you develop in the slant will be minimal or absent. Well... Not sure about YOU, but it's worked for me

It doesn't matter how bloody far the apple falls from the tree. If the apple fell off of a Granny Smith, that apple is going to grow into a Granny bloody Smith. The only difference is whether that apple grows in the shade of the tree it fell from.

So far so good id say.
What bothers me the most is the lack of contrast.
I really prefer miniatures to contrast with the base rather then blending in.

Yeah I see your point, it's a bit difficult with slate bases and a silver mini though. I want to base my army up with matching bases as its made up of various chaos warbands, and I chose slate as the extra weight gives a bit more stability.
