I had an old Gauth Reaper Dragon laying around. I had been thinking to use it as a fire dragon for a while. I decided to add an ogre rider to it so I could use it in my Ogre Kingdoms army. Anyone have any thoughts on how I can stabilize the chain without using alot of glue? I dont want to loose the shape of the links for painting.

This is the one time i actually use the thin superglue from GW.
Just brush a small bit on the connected sections of chain.

Give that an hour or 2 to dry fully, then hit it with a coat or 2 of varnish and its pretty stable.

Great looking model though

Do you prime over the varnish?

I added some gnoblars to the model and a dude in the dragons hand. The hand is easy to bend so I was able to get the fingers around the body. I have the gnoblar in the front likes hes telling the dragon to attack and the guy in the back with a stick prodding him. The gnoblar looked weird on top of the column, so I added a rope and a stake to tie it to like he climbed up there. Trying to think if I need to add anything else too it before I prime the model.

I added a few extra bits and finally got some primer added. I decided to add some arrows, like he had been under attack. The back of the wings looked a little bare, as did the back of the rider. I added in the two large barrels and used some GF9 rope to show them hanging. Finally some white primer to prep for paint.

So the question is, what color dragon now. I was thinking red to start but that may be too obvious. Any thoughts as to what type of dragon ogres would pal around with?
