Hey all,

I plan on magnetising my LRBTs when I get them and I was wondering, is the turret in the standard russ kit the same as the turret in the demolisher kit? I was thinking I could buy one of each kit and magnetise so I can run any combination of tanks. Is this do-able?

“Because we couldn’t be trusted. The Emperor needed a weapon that would never obey its own desires before those of the Imperium. He needed a weapon that would never bite the hand that feeds. The World Eaters were not that weapon. We’ve all drawn blades purely for the sake of shedding blood, and we’ve all felt the exultation of winning a war that never even needed to happen. We are not the tame, reliable pets that the Emperor wanted. The Wolves obey, when we would not. The Wolves can be trusted, when we never could. They have a discipline we lack, because their passions are not aflame with the Butcher’s Nails buzzing in the back of their skulls.
The Wolves will always come to heel when called. In that regard, it is a mystery why they name themselves wolves. They are tame, collared by the Emperor, obeying his every whim. But a wolf doesn’t behave that way. Only a dog does.
That is why we are the Eaters of Worlds, and the War Hounds no longer."

There are 2 kits. The first is the LRMBT, Vanquisher, Eradicator and Exterminator. The second is the Punisher, Demolisher and Executioner

I know, but are the turrets in the two kits the same? So could I buy one of each kit but still field a demolisher and an executioner by magnetising the turret weapons?

Nope, both turrets have different looking slots to put the weapons inside. You have to dedicate some serious work time into this if you´d want to swap between both kits. On the other hand every kit can use its weaponry with minimal magnetizing.

Actually the gun mantlet fitting is the same for both, so by cutting off the rotation tabs and replacing them with magnets (Ø3mmx2mm magnets fit perfectly) you can swap between them. Unfortunately the mantlet and turret face are different, so the swap doesn't work very well.

Additionally the demolisher pattern uses a common mantlet with three different barrels, so its easier to magnetise it at that one point
