I'm saving up for one of the new xbox games coming out later in the year and I can't decide between GTA or AC BF. I have no other AC or GTA games and would it be worth getting some of the older games first? I would be getting these games to play with friends but I am a casual gamer overall.

Depends on what type of atmosphere in a game you're after I suppose. Personally I would pick GTA V every time as its just a massive open world full of fun and I cant wait to play this with my friends. We are probably gonna be a bicycle gang who taunt other players as we circle them on our bikes. It shall be glorious.

How is that even a question! GTA V!

There isn't much point in playing the latest AC unless you've played the previous titles so I'd recommend you play through those (all of them, in order).

Otherwise go for GTA.

Just get Assassin's Creed III when Black Flag comes out; it'll be drastically cheaper and probably no better or worse. GTA V looks to be a ton of fun; I'm kind of burnt out on open worlds, but GTA always brings me back.
