In the final moments of Marvel’s rousing panel at Hall H, Marvel chief Kevin Feige brought out Joss Whedon, who showed a very early teaser of the sequel The Avengers and revealed that the film will be called ‘Age Of Ultron.’

I just don't... how?

I mean, yes, an Avengers film that deals with Ultron would be amazing, but it just seems too early. There's a lot of set up with Ultron, and yet the Ant Man film is coming out after this one.

How will this work?

I very very much doubt that they'll follow the plot of the ACTUAL Age Of Ultron, because towards the end there was a significant amount of involvement of characters belonging to Fox and Sony, so a large portion of the plot would have to be massively reworked to not include characters like Wolverine.

It wouldn't take too much to substitute certain characters for certain other characters though.

But aside from that - the plot is rather Byzantine, and, you know, time travel!

They need to throw away everything we think we know and make Deadpool an Avenger...

That may be, but the sheer number of characters would be more than have previously included in Marvel's films, which would lead to "and then generic superhero #14 travelled back in time in order to kill generic scientist #3, but unbeknownst to him generic superhero #15 snuck back in order to stop him, but then Thor turns up and stops them all" where half of the events that happen wouldn't seem to be of any consequence due to the character doing it having existed in the audience's mind for all of 15 minutes.

I still want a Deadpool movie and not that abortion from Origins: Wolverine. I want the REAL deadpool and I want him to look right at the camera and ask me if I had nothing better to do today

Deadpool and Iron Man.... The superhero equivalent of Laurel and Hardy. That would be quite epic really.

It was said at the panel that the title was taken from the Age of Ultron storyline, but that the story will be completely different.

Rather than Antman making him, they could just say it was some random laboratory that makes an A.I. Cut Antman out of it.

I hope the rumors aren't true that Vin Diesel will be playing Vision as he has only 2 emotions, anger and monotone.

That's called 'a rock and a hard place'. While Ultron is a lot further out than they're doing in the movies, they need to compress time for movies because actors do inconvenient things like age, and audiences do inconvenient things like get impatient. While a few more movies between now and an Ultron story to build up characters and introduce others would be ideal, that would mean pushing Ultron out to 2020, having half the actors look like gak due to getting old (RDJ and Paltrow are already getting there), and audiences firmly in the mindset of 'why should I give a gak anymore?'. Which isn't, financially speaking, A Good Thing.

So really, this was always going to happen. Big story events all compressed together with a few individual films in between with character count severely diminished due to the compressed development time, focus on a few characters and really, the lack of money to spend on more individual character films for half a dozen more characters (these films are individually big risks due to the money going into them - eventually one won't make money).

Not sure that monotone is an emotion, rather a tone (duh) of voice. But, seeing how Vision is an android, a monotone voice would actually be appropriate. It could be worse: they could change the story and have Kristen Stewart play a female Vision. Then again...boobs. Well, sorta.

Ultron is a sentient android created by Henry "Hank" Pym aka Antman. He did the predicable thing when sentient robots are created, which is attempt to eradicate human life, and is generally defeated all the time. He currently has an adamantium shell, so is kind of indestructible, and recently took over the earth in the "Age Of Ultron" crossover event, for which the film is named, but will not be using the plot.
