Hi, all.

Over the last few days I've been converting and assembling my first Wraithknight. I'm not sure if it'll see much table play, but I loved the model and needed to add one to my craftworld.

I had three main goals for the model:
1. Give it proper, classic Eldar back vanes so that it fits in well with the gradient from Wraithguard to Phantom,
2. Have it holding its weapon(s) in front of it, in the manner of a Dark Reaper Exarch, and
3. Make a fully cloth sashimono so that it hangs well at the scale of the model (no masking tape for this one!)

I think I've met those goals. Here are some of the in-progress pics of the model. Painting begins tomorrow!

After the completion of the legs and torso, with the back vanes completed:

All of the pieces complete but disconnected:

And the test-fitting, with all of the pieces in place. There will also be two cables running from the back to the rear of the weapon and his left arm, but those can't be put into place until the model is entirely assembled, which won't happen until after painting is complete.

I love the idea for the model but the posture needs a few adjustments to make it look more aggressive.

It's leaning back a little too much for the bulk of the wraith cannon -- like it's being pulled back by the flag rather than hoisting heavy armament.

Extend the right arm a tad to bring the right forearm more on axis with the gun to make it look more like it's being aimed rather than being lifted (will probably need to move the forward grap back a little so the left arm can still reach).

Lastly it needs a little more carnage on the base for good measure. Building in wrecks that the model dwarfs even further emphasize it's size, forcing people to waste shooting phases turn after turn trying to kill it.

The lean-back is because the torso is currently being held in place by the default little tab between it and the hips. When I go for final assembly, that will get cut off, making the waist a true ball-and-socket; the lean will be more forward, for sure!

Same deal with the arms and the gun's position: the position isn't final because they're all just held in place with blu-tac, meaning there's extra space being filled in by the material rather than just being directly connected. I'll be sure to take the suggestion into account, though.

Thanks!
