Started with a cyber hobby model and built the chassis as per instructions. I made sure to mis align some parts slightly, to give it a more orky feel. Added " boom gun " instead of front hatch and intend to use the turret to mount 2 rokkit launchaz.
I also have a spotta turret I made a while ago that I never used.
My question is. Apart from the obvious plasticard plates I will use. How can I make it more orky?
Also do you think the scale is acceptable.

Good start so far! Your in the right direction with the random plasticard armor plates and patchwork, and the more random rivets the better for orks! Also you can make some Clan Markings here and there around the armor too.
The scale is a tad smaller but I think once you add your spotta turret it will pull it all together.
A lot of flavor for orks can also come from your painting, scruffy scratched up paint and such can really turn a somewhat clean vehicle into a ork mess,
Great idea and exclusion! Can't wait to see more,

Lookin good so far! An idear that I used is to have cut up bits of those strange looking zip ties glued around. (Sorry I'm not bring very explanatory) or bits of copper shim. Looks really good.

The scale is very acceptable. Besides obvious plasticard plates and ork glyphs, I recommend custom treads, exposed wiring snaking from open hatches, excessive exhaust pipes, grots crawling all over the exterior on errands or mischief making, chipping the plating, drill a dent or two to indicate enemy weapon impacts, use green stuff to mimic welding, and add more rivets than necessary. Everywhere.
I submit my own WIP battlewagon's turret as example.

Well. Basically I've coated the whole thing in glue and emptied my Ork bits box over it now. Just waiting for the glue to dry, so I can start cutting battle damage into the flat panels. Then I'm going to make up a shed load of rivets .
As always c&c greatly appreciated.

Yeah, I glued the shell to an aerial from the original model then superglued the stuffing on at one end, wrapped it round the aerial, then soaked it in more glue

A bit further on now. I painted it up in camo colours first, then added the death skull blue. Still loads of detail work and weathering to do
