AA you really have is Vector Strike, which is cool but won't exactly stop the Vendettas from popping most of your armor.
My focus is to get as many mean units into their face as quickly as possible and I feel that the lack of defense against flyers is justified. I don't think a quad gun is worth 100 points in a rush list and I need my fast attack slots for well, fast attack. I was happy I was able to budget for at least one Hellchicken.

Yeah, I don't think I have any other option unless I change the dynamic of the theme.

MC that has high Initiative will try to smash it to death before it can strike, and will succeed more often than you'd like.
Heh, never thought of the JuggyLord as a flavor of the month. True he has trouble with
MCs but I just have to choose my battles carefully if they are about. I am hard pressed to think of a better choppy
HQ that is fast attacking, except a Biker Lord and Demon Prince. I don't mind Biker Lords but I think the Juggernaut brings more benefits than a bike. And well, Princes, are too costly. That is why I went with a Bloodthirster - a lot more bang for the buck.
floraljetbike wrote: A Thirster with is cool if you have a lot of Flying threats but you have two. Keep in mind EVERYONE at a tourney will have taken Drakes into account when making their list and Thirsters are shot to death once grounded by Tau (which you WILL see a lot of in a competitive atmosphere).
The Thirster should either be into assault turn 2 or probably dead already so he is flying on turn 1 only. Of course, a plan never survives contact with the enemy. If he has to fly a lot then I do believe you are correct, he would be shot down. I will just have to make sure he sticks to the plan! Also, the strength of my list is target saturation. I know I will lose some units but my plan is to have enough survive to smash into the enemy.

Very true. But if they are targeting my Rhinos then that is less things firing at my fast attackers. I don't mind that so much. The idea with the maulerfiends is just that, even more fast attackers to have to deal with.

Honestly, I have no experience with the new demon codex. I am not against making the Thirster more survivable I just have to decide where I can take points from without weakening my initial charge. I think I can take away 3 cultists and one berzerker and be 3 points short of 40 points. Hmm. Not much wiggle room otherwise. Does anyone have a suggestion on how to do this?
