Tactics

Deployment:

Terminators DWA turn 1 or 2, depending on circumstances, Belial obviously joins them.

The Aegis is placed in the midfield (even if outside of deployment which I'm pretty sure you can do iirc) if facing a gunline or on the home objective/table half if low objectives, favorable scouring, purge the alien or crusade is rolled. Tacticals form up behind it with the Command Squad, Libby and 3 Dreadnoughts.

Post Deployment:

Terminators deepstrike without scatter and present a threat that can't be ignored and is hard to kill. They pump fire into surrounding units (PC with re-rolls can handle heavy infantry, assault cannon for everything else) and either:

A)Hold a critical objective, take the Relic
B)Kill a target of opportunity
C)Set up a charge for the following turn

Tacticals annihilate anything that gets within 24'' of their guns. If the ADL is in the midfield they run like chickens to get to it. If they get fired upon by something nasty they can go to ground behind the ADL for a 2+ cover save -its a barricade, read the rules again. The Flakk Missiles are mostly for knocking FMC's out of the sky and abusing plain luck. Quad Gun is the mainstray of the AA fire.

Now the Dreadnoughts are interesting. Their Lascannons go towards popping vehicles and shaving wounds off MC's (2.4 average wounds on a Riptide a turn if all of them fire at it, which while on its own isn't that impressive it might finish off the job for the DW) and if any MC's or tough CC units approach the fortress of bolters they can tie them up and/or punch them to death if they're an MC. The WS5, 3 attacks base, S10 and I4 make them a scary proposition. If MC's smash for S10 the Venerable re-roll could prove invaluable.

My only 'ehh' here is whether to replace the Lascannons with Assault Cannons instead. I feel a more efficient killing machine would be the DWK (about 50 points less if also taken in a squad of 10, though a Dread would have to go) but the scoring ability and consistent AP2 of the TH/SS could prove more useful. I'll need to playtest.

Do you guys think this would work? I'm open to C&C.

What if you (models permitting) you strip termi armor and give libby pfg. This could offer more protection to troops and dreads making them more resistent to AT fire? Id also consider dwk to free up points.
