What is your most competitive 500pt ork list?

HQ- Warboss W/ PK, Twin linked shoota, cybork body and attack squig
HQ-Big Mek W/ KFF, Burna, and cybork body
Troops-30 shoota boys W/ 3 Big shoota
Trops-19 Gretchin W 1 Runtherd

I like that list, I also like the variant where you have two 20 man ork squads with 2 bigshootas in each and nob powerklaw boss pole, with a big mek kff.

Screw flyers, go for max lobbas and kill the enemy by round 1

You already gain a cover save, and you have 52 bodies on the ground, wait them out. Take and hold, wipe stuff out or shoot and get into CC quickly. Flyers at 500 points usually mean 1/5 of their points is on the one model that might not even come in by the time you gain contact. My other list is designed to stop flyers at 500 points, but ends up lacking in CC and bodies.

3 Barrage BS3 Str 5 Ap4 blast with 48" range, vs 9TL(18 on waaagh) BS2 Str6 AP4 shots at 30".

One of these stands a chance when hit by a lascannon, No? There's still not a lot of skyfire currently, and at 500, I wouldn't see too many TAC lists to handle skyfire, But anti AV10 is very common. But the flyer gets a jink save, the lobba does not.

That's understandable, But the lobba having an Ap of 5 and the ability of scatter, and barrage means terrain could stop the shot's effectiveness. But 48" range weapons that pop AV10 easily are numerous:

Lascannon Str 9
Harvester cannon Str 7
Cyclone missile launcher(krak) Str 8
Missile launcher(krak) Str 8
Avenger mega bolter Str 6
Ion Accelerator Str 7
Kroot gun Str7
Railgun Str 7
I could keep going.

the lobba is a great fun choice, especially with dual SAG's But I don't see how you could reliably table someone with three of them.

Sorry man but that Grot/Dakkajet list looks incredibly weak.

The KFF Mek is hideously inefficient for points here. A single PK character, and not even a very fighty one, is gonna die badly in any challenge. He'll never get to use his burna as Grots will be in the way, and even if he does, it won't do enough damage to matter.

Lobbas > Dakkajet, easily, as the flier will not have much maneuver room nor many targets on a 4x4 and 500pt list (plus Lobbas are crazy) but you could take both if you drop the KFF from the Mek.

I've never player 500 point on a 4x4 board. In a 4x4 Flyers would be near useless. and lobba would kill So Yeah, I can concede in that scenario.

I used that flyer list in a local tourney on a 6X4 board, the mek never saw combat, but I wanted him to be able to take out a sergeant at best.
