So I got a Merc army of sorts from a byproduct of someone who won a raffle for a Merc army and only wanted the Pirate part of it, so I kind of got it for free.What I received was this:

How is what I got from that? Right now I am working to get Croe's Cutthroats and Aleixa to max as possible.

I also have Gorman Di Wulfe, Steelhead Riflemen, and a min unit of Steelhead Halberdiers that I bought for Mercs before hand.

You're off to a good start. You'll probably want Eiryss3, Wyshnalyr, and Boomhowler at some point, but they're not mandatory.

I was thinking of getting Boomhowler and co. ASAP as soon as I finish up what I need for Menoth for now. Also, I thought Eiryss3 only worked for Retribution?

I figured that is what you meant, so no worries. ^_^ I think that might be the first thing I get since it is not as expensive as Greygore Boomhowler and CO.

I would say you are off to a good start. You have the "battlebox" for human mercs (pmagnus with a talon, renegade, and mangler), and solid line up of solos and units.

I would defiantly pick up Boomhowler and co., but also Sylys Wyshnalyrr. Sylys is SO good with merc warcasters, they all seem to have really good upkeeps and lots of other stuff they want to do (like dead eye ranged units with Captain Damiano or feed a warjack some focus). Beyond that it would depend on what contract/theme list you are going for. 4 * has some really good khador ally units that work for them (assassins and eliminators), and highborn covenant have some good units as well (gun mages with UA, forgeguard) but those units only work for those contracts.

I might have to check those out as well then. Also, I might try to do a thread of sorts about how I am doing with a Warcaster I am playing with for Mercs (Like the one about High Reclaimer, although I cannot the name of the person who did it). Not sure which Caster yet though....
