So I was walking through Toys R Us the other day and I happened to pass a bin with dinosaur toys in it. I was looking at the Triceratops and I thought "Hmm that body would be really good for making a Squigoth, but the head is is wrong." then I looked at the T-rex and thought "Hmm with some work that head would work for a Squigoth" So I bought one of each, brought them home and am now working on combining and altering them to become the basis for an Ork Gargantuan Squigoth.

Here's what I'm starting with:

And I'm hoping to end up with something resembling this:

So what's doing is A- cutting off the heads so I can swap them around. B- filling the body of Tric with resin to make it capable of holding up on the table top, C- modifying the T-rex head to more elongated teeth and fangs, large tusks and a horn (might do some small ears, can't quit tell if the Squigoth has ears or not) and then combing the two respective pieces into one animal.

Thoughts? Suggestions? Declarations of insanity on my part?

I have seen this project done, they actually cut off the trikes skull armor and top horns, and greenstuffed it smoothe. It came out pretty great as I recall, but the guy was really talented

that's just one example, there are dozens based off trikes.

warhammer 40k mmo. If I can drive an ork trukk into the back of a space marine dread and explode in a fireball of epic, I can die happy!

Thanks for the link Orock. That actually answered a couple questions for me. But I'm still continuing with my project. And here is the next step:

So I haven't been able to get a lot of work done on the Squiggoth recently for a variety of reasons. First and foremost has been time. I just haven't had much of it lately. Second reason is... well there just isn't a lot I can get done on it right now. I cut off the heads of the two Dino toys to find that they are basically sold latex forms stuffed with... well pillow stuffing. Needless to say, this does not make for a particularly strong support form. Particularly when we're talking about supporting a large structure like the Howdah and a dozen boys. So what did I do to address this? Simple. Filled the head of the T-rex and the body of the Trike with resin!

Now the next major thing for the work is the fact that the Squiggoth has a large pair of tusks connected to the back of it's jaw. So... what am I going to do about those? Well I have a giant bitz box so I have to have something right? So I went and did a bit of bitz Box Diving and I found something. The Tusks from the Elphander Zoids kit. Only problem is they were angled. So what do I do? Simple, convert. I cut them apart so the large turn could be removed and then glued the parts back together and fill in the inner spaces with miliput.
