Okay I'm trying to build a fast durable list that can survive the mass shooting of some of the more competative lists we see nowadays.

HQ
Fateweaver (warlord makes daemons a lot more reliable and the reroll is perfect if I miss the Grimnoire or any other critical rolls)

GUO (Grimnoire carrier that's very durable and with lvl3 biomancy he can buff or debuff to help my flesh hounds/prince in combat)
LvL3, greater, exalted

TROOPS
10 plaguebearers (deepstrike onto objectives gtg if they have too)

10 plaguebearers

10 horrors (almost as durable as plaguebearers if they gtg and can pump out a few shots if needs be)

10 horrors

FAST ATTACK
15 flesh hounds (scout up get in there face for a bottom of turn 1/turn 2 charge and tar pit any big ranged threats or nasty units)

15 flesh hounds

HEAVY SUPPORT
Daemon prince (flys around picking on small units and bigger units that have been softened up by Fateweaver)
Lvl2, tzeentch, wings, armour, 2 greater, lesser

Can this list work in a competative environment and should I take out the GUO for a LoC and then give the Grimnoire too the daemon prince??

I think you have a great list here, as I am a sucker for fast attack, but I do think that you changing the GUO to a LOC is probably a good idea..as the GUO is going to have a hard time keeping up to grimoire your hounds, and while he is durable he is still on the ground which could cause problems. So maybe consider a LOC with staff of change, and Grimoire instead, but other than that I like it.

I don't have my army builder in front of me but if you want to keep the style of that list I'd drop the GUO to a lvl 2, drop a squad of hound, change the DP to Nurgle and add another one, lvl 2. Take 2 greaters on each and pick up the balesword.

Cheers for the comments but I think the 2 units of hounds are a lot more durable ad a lot more of a Nusance to the enemy. And I'm going to try swapping between GUO and LOC but I don't like having my grimnoire on a prince that can get killed by a single str10 cannon turn one. Wheras the GUO is t7 and 6 wounds is hard for anyone to get rid of especially when they already have 30 hounds 12" from there deployment. I think intelligent players in my gaming group target the grimnoire early on to get rid of it early.

the lord of change can fly though and i don't know many STR 10 weapon that shoot FMC.

Yeah but it's turn one I'm worried about if I was a tau player I'd fire every shot my sky rays and and riptides and broadsides at that one model until it dies. And FMC's aren't too durable if you shoot all your rubbish at them until they get grounded the blast them with high str stuff. Like I said I will try a LoC but with all the 40k approved stuff that has skyfire I'm not sure he's more durable.
