I am thinking about starting a small Marine force, first to use as Allies, maybe expanding into a full army.

The one thing I am sure is I want to make them Deathwatch, using a different chapter for each Marine, hopefully not having to repeat.

I'm not a fan of Special Characters, since I feel they would only appear in really big battles.

I am leading towards either Ultramarines or Imperial Fists.

Warzone Damnos has a new take on them too btw, not sure if you'd seen that. I know this is completely not an answer but you should find it cool.

Im waiting to see some house rules people come up with. I have thought about what a dw squad would look like should they have put it in the book as an elite choice but not a whole army. I think the dw are far too scattered to form up in any size.

Considering the Black Library has had them up to chapter size on occasion, I would say you can run any size you would liek, but yes in general I think having made them an elite or HQ squad option would have been awesome. Sternguard are still about the best way to represent them I think.

One thing I would want to see on a squad of deathwatch would be WS 5. Honestly they should be ws 5 because they are elite warriors chosen from across all chapters. I have said it before but the gk codex should be named the inquisition and include the deathwatch as well as gk but it would some how have to seperate the 2.
