Hey guys, working on random project today and thought I'd see what the internet thought.
Here is a WIP Centurion for my Minotaurs. The first pic is the head I want to use for the Sergeant. Second pic is the head I want to use for the normal guys.
Thoughts? Love it? Hate it?
Thanks!

I like the top one more, and they look much better without the shoulders IMHO, but still is a bad mini XD

Yeah, not feeling bull horns for Minotaurs... I know they are called Minotaurs, but their style is more along the lines of the ancient Greek phalanx. Try something more along these lines:

And some, I assume, are good people." |

Honestly - and likely going against the trend - but I like them.
The base miniature is not terrible, IMO, but it certainly needs something to 'jazz it up' and little, and the horns do it subtly but effectively.
The key concern I have is that they look pretty Chaos-esque; think of the basic Undivided Marines that have the horns.
Were it me? I would sculpt some cloaks for them and swap the helmets out to a Greek style, without the crest (I do not much care for the crests...). Maybe some leather groiney-cloth-thingies too, would have to see if that works. Basically, though, I'd go with subtle but definite changes to the base model, building them back in to your theme of your army (as we don't know what that is, it's hard to call it).

Thank you all for the feedback.
The idea for these guys is that i want them to look, big, beefy, and intimidating. The essence is that they'll be dropped behind enemy lines in a six man squad out of a Stormeagle. The whole army runs like a hammer and anvil. Lots of heavy support via vindicators and an Achilles.
They'll be painted up almost black, but still bronzed w/ green oxidation. No shoulders because I think they look more imposing without giant WTF shoulders on them.
I personally like the model - I think it's a solid kit despite the idea being silly and useless, with lots of room for customizing and tricking them out. But I do agree with all of you, that I need to bring in the greek/romanesque feel to them to make them fit in the force.

The first set of horns at least allows the marine to move his head. I'm a great believer in function over form, so feel it would be overly restrictive to limit head movement purely for aesthetic reasons.

I agree with the Scooty, Minotaurs would look more appropriate with a spartan type look. I'm sure it will make more sense when they are painted.
Slightly off topic: man I hate that model it just looks like two tree trunks merged with a SM head on top.
