The assault squads come in later to reinforce/bully weak positions.

I understand you have 5 drop pods so you can get 3 first turn, but the sternguard could be one squad, drop down together, and save points too! since +5 sternguard is 110, and a new squad is 120. Combat squad them, put in pod, separate on landing, then you can also get rid of the devastator drop pod which makes no sense. Or use it for one of the assault squads to make instant use of their flamers.

The assault squads already have pods I forgot to put that. The Sternguard perform very different functions, as well as Pedro going with the flamer squads so there is not enough room in the pod.
