Afternoon all, earlier I finished writing an army list for Tyranids where the purpose is to field as many Monstrous creatures as possible, here's what I came up with.

Hive Tyrant
- Wings
- Twin-linked Devourers

Tervigon

Termagant Brood (20)

Termagant Brood (20)

Harpy
- Twin-linked Heavy Venom Cannon

Carnifex
- Bio-plasma
- Mycetic Spore

Trygon
- Prime

Tyrannofex
- Rupture Cannon
- Desicator Larvae

Points come to 1500 exactly, I did have Scything Talons on the Tervigon but that would have put the total over 1500.

C&C welcome.

I am not a Tyranid player, but I think this list would be a lot of fun to play against.

I'm not sure how competitive it would be though. Unusual choice with the harpy, and not sure how much a single carnifex would achieve.

As I say, I am not a Tyranid player, just my humble opinion.

Tyranofex is a pointsink, with too little dmg output. Harpy is kinda lame.
Need some hiveguard/zoanthropes in a spore.

Point of the list is field as many MCs as possible, on another forum someone suggested a re things so I'm going to jiggle the list.

The second list looks beastly! Still lacks ranged firepower (but then what nid list doesn't?) so hive guard or sporing zoanthropes shouldn't be rules out. If you are going for a shooting 'fex I would always advocate a dakkafex, though I suppose your flyrants are taking care of that niche.

Well I think everything will be charging forward and spawnings will head to the objectives.

With the Tervigons you'll now be able to add poison and furious charge to all Termigaunts in range. I'm not sure how much will be left to buy powers check you Codex. I assume the Tyrants will roll on Biomancy as well
