Time to revive the the Armored Fist! HQ CCS - 4 Plasma Guns, Officer of the Fleet, Chimera - 195 pts Troops 1 Platoon CS - 4 Flamers, Chimera w/ Heavy Flamer - 125 Infantry Squad - Plasma Gun, Chimera - 115 pts Infantry Squad - Plasma Gun, Chimera - 115 pts Infantry Squad - Plasma Gun, Chimera - 115 pts Troops 2 Veterans Shotguns 2 Meltaguns Heavy Flamer 110 Points (In Vendetta) Troops 3 Veterans Shotguns Demolitions 3 Meltaguns Harker 185 points Fast Attack 1 Hellhound with Multi-Melta 145 Fast Attack 2 Vendetta 130 Fast Attack 3 Vendetta 130 Heavy Support 1 LR - Executioner, Plasma Cannon Sponsors - 230 Heavy Support 2 Basilisk - 125 points Heavy Support 3 Basilisk - 125 points 1,850 points Default Strategies List dishes out a fanatical amount of punishment and is both resilient against AA and/or flier spam. There's consideration for virtually every army type, and I [hopefully], still can get the Armored Fist rolling with some upgraded field support. With any luck, the enemy will be scrambling to figure out what they'd like to target first. With 3 BS 4 Meltaguns, Infiltrate, Stealth, and Meltabombs, Harker's squad is a dedicated early game tank hunter / HQ assassin squad I've grown to love because it usually buys me 250 points or more in kills. It also does incredible work destroying AA firepower, leaving my army with air superiority wherever Harker left off. Suggestions? Thoughts? Weaknesses of the army?

1: Ditch the Snipers and Missiles in favour of Plasma or Melta. Since you're going to be in the Chimera, there's no point in using the Missile Launcher seeing as you'll be using Snap Shots, and Snipers are just plain bad when used individually. For your other question, no your IG can't take Flakk.
2: That's a lot of points you've got invested in your Conscripts. If you ditch Chenkov and SITNW, you've probably got enough points for a whole new unit, instead of hoping one gets wiped out and the arrives late-game where it'll be doing relatively little.
3: I'd ditch Pask on the Executioner. You're firing blasts, an extra 1" of scatter reduction isn't going to help anytime soon.
4: Again, 185 points is a lot for the Veterans. I'd suggest getting rid of Harker and getting another Chimera for the same points.
5: You seem a bit lacking in AA firepower. I don't know about your local meta, but if there's a few Flyers it might be worth investing in something to help that, maybe some Autocannon teams for the Platoons. Automatically Appended Next Post: Also, I think you've got your points wrong, 50 Conscripts with SITNW is 275pts, not 245

Well you dont really have any AA, a lot of missiles but not really dedicated AA.
Also If you suggest Mech gunline or any gunline for that matter I suggest an aegis line, then add the quad in.
Also if your vehicles move the missile launcher and the sniper snap fire, and lasguns are very in effective especially since only half the squad can fire out the top and since they are in a transport they also cant be buffed by orders.
I would invest in melta guns and plasma guns at least so yyou can move and fire some sort of effective weapon. You also have nothing to hunt av14, if a land raider comes your way whatever its delivering will be ontop of you fast.
I would swap the executioner for a vanquisher with lascannon and PC sponsons and pask. Im pretty sure its a much better tank for this list, its still got the PC sponsons and then its got the lascannon and the vanquisher cannon firing with pasks Bs and possibly the crack shot rule allowing enemy heavy armor to be killed off before it crosses the board.
Also the conscripts will not leave your deployment if you think your going to march them across the board. If they are for holding an objective in your base why are you using 50? their shooting is terrible and 20 guys come back just as easily as 50. Since the rest of your army is mech it should be moving up or moving around so I wouldnt go anything over 20 guys to sit back and hold an objective.

I've fixed the list to the responses. They were insightful and I agree with most of them so far. Thank you
Any other suggestions or comments?

Competitive input.
Keep 50 point squads in the vendettas. Either infantry squads or quad flamer pcs.
Ditch the flamer vets. 4 flamer pcs are 50 points and do the job far better.
plasma vets do great in a chimera
gw sells finecast plasma guns bits 5 for $9
With the models you have I would go.
quad plasma ccs in a chimera.
quad flamer pcs in a chimera.
bs4 lc and 3 plasma vets in a chimera *3 squads
2 naked infantry squads in the vendettas (maybe add a melta gun)
Harker is fluffy and fun, but not competitive.
squads in a vendetta should usually stay there until turn 4 or 5 before drop chuting onto an objective. No point is buying stuff for a squad that is only going to objective snatch or go down in flames with their bird. Automatically Appended Next Post: Hellhound and heavy support choices are solid. Only thing I would advocate is experimenting with a griffon

Chaos isn’t a pit. Chaos is a ladder. Many who try to climb it fail, and never get to try again. The fall breaks them. And some are given a chance to climb, but refuse. They cling to the realm, or love, or the gods…illusions. Only the ladder is real. The climb is all there is, but they’ll never know this. Not until it’s too late.
