Ended up playing a Deathstar scenario at my local gaming shop the other day and did a write-up on it. The pics and write-up are here

It was pretty fun and I really think FFG should consider making more scenarios for the game. Especially ones that reflect events from the SW universe

It's actually laminated board on top of two tables, with a shorter table inbetween to act as the bottom of the trench.

Nah, actual resin models. They're pretty nice and the turrets can swivel about

Is there a place they're available for sale? They do look very nice.

Okay, apparently they're not for sale as one of the guys casted it himself. However, he has made a sorta tutorial on how he did the casting, which can be found here, under Turbo Laser Turrets

Yes thanks for posting that!

It got me thinking about building a Death Star board from DeadZone terrain. It'd be a LOT (which is what I'll eventually have), but with them being 3", you could make two 12x5 structures and basically have a 3'x3' board with a 6" trench. That'd be around a couple hundred tiles, not counting the trench so it would not be cheap, at all, but it'd be pretty nifty.

I'll have to see how ridiculous I really was on that KS...
