Hey! new Ork player here, I'm really glad I found a forum that I can ask questions on. Been looking up information for the past year and finally started taking some action lately. Looked at the klans and decided to make my own pretty proud of it especially the color scheme and the banner.

Just started building my army and my first unit are a herd of gretchin with a herder but I'm planning on having a Mechanized army base for my orks.

Any tips on how that'll turn out for me?

Thanks in advance!

Hi,

Welcome to Dakka

Hello! I just joined up myself. I HAVE NOT played a single game of 6th edition, but I HAVE played Orks since 2nd edition. Word on the street is that Orks are tough to play right now (the current codex is from 4th edition, so no big surprise there), and the current metagame doesn't favor mechanized armies as much as 5th edition. That being said, Mech Orks has always been a thing, I'm sure you can do it well, and you can probably still be fairly competitive with such a list. Also, since it's a core archetype, it'll probably be better once Orks get a shiny new codex, so keep at it, mate!
