Hello everyone, I'm posting this on behalf of a friend, who unfortunately, had his army stolen on Tuesday evening. It was taken from the Hackenthorpe area in Sheffield, UK It was heavily converted and he'd poured a huge amount of time and effort into it.
It's a Space Wolves army with Grey Knight allies however it's extremely distinctive, having been converted into a woad/dryad/celtic them with many custom parts, and it would not be instatnly recognisable as Space Wolves or Grey Knights. Some pictures can be found attached to this post, and a full list of what was taken can be found below.
Female giant wood figure,
Lord on bear (scibor with scibor pads thunder hammer and claw)
6 thunderwolves
30 grey hunters,
10 fenrisian wolves
20 female warriors (non GW) very distinctive,
14 long fangs
rhino
drop pod
two razorbacks
If anyone has seen this army, or notices it up on eBay, or any other selling site, or even any other models converted in a similar fashion being sold, would you please let me know, I will be able to recognise them as I've played against them many times and we've been to a couple of tournaments together. Obviously my friend is very upset not just because of the financial loss but also for all of the time and effort that he poured into that army, so if anyone knows or has seen anything at all, please do not hesitate to let me know.
Thanks very much.

Step one in any stolen army situation is to check the local trash dumpsters and bins, alleys, etc for ditched armies. Most of the time they are stolen by non-gamers who see what's inside and ditch it after they don't know what it is.

For Christs sake, what's wrong with people? I wish your friend good luck on getting it back. Always bums me out to hear things like this.

Really unfortunate.
I agree with Petra, check out all the trash dumpsters in the area because most non-gamers would just throw that out. Good luck.

Most armies are stolen when the owners car is broken into.

Most thieves wouldn't nick an army on display. They probably grabbed a case because they thought there was some device like a camera or something in it.
hope the army turns up.

Not sure what a burgelar is but it does not sound pleasant. On a side note ... proper wording would be 'and what not to see' not 'too' as that word would be an inclusion for example: I see it too, not I see it to. See the difference? Spelling things properly makes you sound much more intelligent when you mock someone properly ... Just saying.
OT: That sucks that some savage stole that army ... good luck finding it.

Whatnot was also misspelt but the guy is not from an english speaking country.
Sucks about the theft, hopefully they didn't do damage to the army and dumped the case somewhere it can be found.

Thanks for the help and support everyone, especially those of you who have reported elsewhere. To answer the earlier question it was when his car was broken into.
Trondheim wrote:How about not leaving your minies out in the open for burgelars and what not too see
That is disgusting, but a combination of the fact that you actually said that and your terrible spelling ability leaves me to conclude that you are actually 8 so that might make it a little more excusable. Firstly, the army was locked in his car, in an inconspicuous black bag. Secondly, they were in his boot, which has a little boot lid preventing vision to the contents of the boot. It was a random crime, the burglars more than likely had no idea what they had when they took the bag and my friend was unfortunate as anyone can be the victim of a robbery, so please try to think twice before you say stupid things like that especially when you know that there is someone reading this who is already extremely upset.

He's not 8, he's just Trondheim. He's made a name for himself on this site by being stupidly rude, and by his horrible English. Just don't take anything he says seriously.

How about we stop feeding the troll, stop bandwagoning and having a go at Trondheim and start ignoring him, and start posting advice on how to help the poor gamer in question to find his army. That is the point of this thread, is it not?
