So, i will be expanding my 4 x 4 city terrain board to another 2 tiles so i can play 'proper 40k' sized games. Im making the move from 1k to 1.5k now

i own all these models so it does help but i'm more than happy to buy more resin crack if the C+C seem justifiable

CCS + PG 130
Quartmaster 75

Engineers (10) Carcass shot, HF, PG, Hades 185

PCS + 2 x MG 70
IS + Flamer 75
IS + Flamer 75

PCS + 2 x MG 70
IS + Flamer 75
IS + Flamer 75

Grenadier Storm Sqd + 2 x MG, storm chimera + HK 225

Thunderer 140
Death rider CCS + MB 105
Death rider squad + MB 90

2 x Thudd guns 110

1500 on the nose

I intend to advance my troops using the respawn should they be squished to try and take the DKOK objective when playing forlorn hope to get them 2 extra VPs. I'm happy to chop out the QM and even run the engineers at half strength to put them in a centaur to free up points. I have a siege build already and just want to do an assault based list to play around with so no big guns on this list.

losing the thunderer, deathriders and QM would allow 3 x LRBT's - whats your thoughts folks?

Seems like you're still incredibly low on anti-armour solutions. One squad with proper melta weaponry and one demolisher cannon seems like it'll fall apart against a mech list.

it has 6 x melta guns split up and 2 x meltabombs on the deathriders.

i may swap out the thudds for rapier destroyers but they are static for the majority of the game as are the thudds that can pin whilst i advance my troops. I have terrain in abundance so too much armour will just get choked but i'm curious as to whether to swap out a few things to squuze 3 x LRBT's in.

I'm assuming with tanks you need to go big or not at all. My thunderer has helped me out and turned the tide before so im keen for sentimental reasons to keep it.

Oh geez, I misread the list and somehow missed the PCS meltaguns. Sorry about that, mate.

In a city fight, LRBTs seem worse than normal as there is a *lot* of cover. Independent of the rest of the army composition I'd be tempted to bring a LR Eradicator in a city fight, but I'm not sure that is or is not what your army particularly needs.

i'd have a preference for sticking in heavy mortars with carcass shells if i thought terrain was an issue and i have a colossus seige mortar with S6 AP3 ignore cover weaponry to swap in if after play testing this list proves gash.

one thing that concerns me as when i get the lengthways deployment with trying to get my DKOK the length of the board to hit my forlorn hope objective.

For city fight I would think about dropping the cavalry, all you opponent needs to do is get up a floor and they are useless. Yes they are fast and can go cover to cover with re-roll dangerous, I love them myself but not in city heavy terrain.

Cyclops could work with terrain blocking and another grenadier squad with flamers, heavy flamer.

Engineers with flamer, heavy flamer in centaur, do you find you lose the hades now its nerfed.

Heavy mortars with carcass as advised

3x LMBT is too much firepower in 1 squadron really, run singly they would add a bit of fire power but in a cover heavy map probably not too effective

What anti air do you have in mind or are flyers not a problem in your meta?

i do own fliers and i guess i should prepare a counter for heldrakes at the very least. I've done dozens of 1k lists as i have quite a variety of DKOK models but making a list at 1.5k is just 1.5x the problems of finding a DKOK list that i would be happy with.

i'm just setting up a bigger board at home but im compacted with problems with working overseas 8-9 months of the year, studying an MSc and trying to hold a relationship down - i've still to break into the larger gaming scene where i relocated to a few years ago as well.

I'm in preference to have thudds to pin the enemy as to mortars for blowing them up. my thinking is that if i can hold my opponents troops back long enough i can advance my infantry into their deployment area for some bayonet fighting. I've come up with a siege list that i will post that looks fun.
