Heres My Idea for a ork list

Warboss on bike, claw, squig, cybork- 150 points

Warboss on bike, claw, squig, cybork- 150 points

30 shoota boyz, nob with a claw, bp, eavy armour, big shoota 230 points

30 shoota boyz, nob with a claw, bp, eavy armour, big shoota 230 points

30 shoota boyz, nob with a claw, bp, eavy armour, big shoota 230 points

30 shoota boyz, nob with a claw, bp, eavy armour, big shoota 230 points

10 shoota boyz, nob with a claw, bp, eavy armour, big shoota 105 points (hold a objective)

15 lootas 225

15 lootas 225

15 lootas 225

The nobs have the big shootas, this is for exploiting percison shots

the shoota boys, being in front, give the lootas a cover save

Stuff runz up and shoots and kills, bosses hide in squads and zoom out later on to kill something by themselves

My other idea, kill small squad of boyz, remove big shootas, get a few kannons, not dakka jet, considering no other armour in this list, and the amount of anti flyer stuff at my hobby store

Looks like a fun variant on the the classic green tide. The nob having the big shoota is a nice innovation I haven't seen before- it's clever.

Have you checked out badsheep's green tide battle reports on YouTube? I found them when I was scrounging for army inspiration. His army is pretty similar to this, but he maxes out on kannons and brings KFF meks. Not saying you should do what he does (plus, bikes are fun, don't drop that!) but it might be a good thing to check out, see someone doing the same kinda deal.

The nobs shouldn't get big shootas (or normal shootas for that matter) if they have PKs, as the slugga will give you an extra attack in close combat! Which is really, really good with a weapon that is that powerful with such good ap. Precision shots are cool (I don't ever remember orks using precision shots) but unnecessary for orks as they should spend most of their time in or attempting to get in close combat, so while the big shootas are a good investment for leftover points, they should be given to normal boys imo.

The 'Eavy armour is not really necessary, as your nob will be pretty protected behind ranks of boyz as well as having "look out sir"s to get him out of tight spots. Smart playing is the best strategy to keep them alive

Hmmmmm, I am split with the bikes... While that does sound cool you can take those points and the points you save from heavy armour and bolster that group of ten boys up to 27, I'd bring them up to 20 and then get 1 more big shoota for each mob. Up to you I guess, but warboss' alone usually end up dead unless they have mega-armour, even with the extra toughness the bike gives, and the bike becomes almost useless when moving up the field with a squad on foot.

The kannons are a cool unit, I've never run them effectively but have seen them put to good use. The problem being is that leaves the problem of watering down your strategy, and what I mean by that is that orks don't shoot well, even gretchin, and you will be outgunned unless you spam dakka. Take that with a grain of salt as I have seen balanced lists do well against certain other lists.

Dakkjets hold a special place in my heart and I am severely disappointed you are not running them, but I defer to your judgement.

Lootas are straightforward, shoot stuff dead, then loot it afterward. Whats not to like?

This will probably have trouble with armies like Tau and certain Guard lists, I hear Tau dislike warbikers because they're fast and have a 4+ cover save, but are expensive ($+pts) as heck, but would make a nice unit to put those biker warboss' into.

I guess the main point is: Try not to have a bunch of "this would be useful if-"s taking up points like the armour and bikes, orks are supposed to die, which is why we bring lots of them especially in footslogging lists, when they die there is always 2 more to replace them.

sorry for the long post WAAAAAAAAAAGGHHHHHHHH!

Dude... Powerklaw(fist) is a specialost weapom and unweildy, you dont gain one extra attack from having a slugga, neither if you got a big choppa as its two handed.

Um did you say I don't have enough dakka in this list, I have 45 lootas and 130 shoota boyz, that's 260 shots plus 45-135 and plus 6 for the bosses, bike bosses solo phenomely well, like can take on while squads of vanilla rines or pop pesky vehicles like Baal preds land raiders and vinicators

Also why is everyone herp derp about the 25 points I spend on nob armour, considering everyone and their mother challenges my nob, it is a good investment

It's also such a small amount of my army cost

Looks like a dope list similar to the one i normally run, I perfer 20 Man sqauds arent as cumbersum but with 30 youll be more likely to make the enemy poop themselves if they didnt take blasts or templates, I perfer KFF for obvious reasons but ive been leaning away from them because my main enemy is Tau and ignoring cover really puts a damper on things

If they're just for objectives use gretchins. They soak up damage easy.
