This is something I've had in my head for quite a while and have only got around to in the last few weeks. The idea is that just as the imperium has inquisitors working in small groups doing specialist missions, the Eldar have young farseers who act on their visions to try an alter fate.

The warband as it stands:

From left to right: Solitaire, Black Guardian, Ghost warrior, Farseer, Corsair (The gap is for a pathfinder to be added later)

The Farseer:

I think of this guy as only just becoming a Farseer (is there an intermediate between Warlock and Farseer?). I generally don't like models without helmets for no reason but I think the leader of a warband should have his face visible. The idea here is that having been shot, he has taken off the front of his helm to see. The finished model will have the front face plate at his feet with bullet holes.

Black Guardian:

One of the standing army on Ulthwe, I wanted to make her different to a normal guardian. The catapult is modelled after the old style drum mag ones, the shoulder mounted pistol is a take on the psycannon of Inquisitor Covenant which I've awlays thought was cool and the blade is based on the ones in DOW.

Corsair:

I wanted to have a weapon specialist and I found both the old scatter laser and guardian in my bits box and thought why not? The vane underneath clearly makes the scatter laser lighter.

Solitaire:

Having a solitaire in the warband may seem unlikely, but my story is that he turned up and noone has the courage to talk to him, so noone knows why he's there. He's based on the old metal model which is hard to come by now. Only use I've found so far for the base model. Opinons on cloak or no cloak?

I have a box of rangers on the way to make the pathfinder, though I'm not sure what I'm doing with him yet.

I have far more background and am happy to talk more about the conversions but don't want to clog up the post, so please c&c.

This is really cool. Nice gs work too. Looking forward to seeing them progress.

A quick update to show work on the Pathfinder that arrived yesterday.

This is my first experience with finecast... a mixed bag, lots of small bubbles, but I'm fairly sure I couldn't have removed the gun if it was metal.

He will have two pistols, at the moment I'm leaning towards bolt actions, which I like because of how ridiculous they are. Definitley human rather than Eldar though, something he picked up while roaming the galaxy.
