I am looking for mats for a new gaming table. Preferably online shops.

Ideally it should be just over 6x4 ft, and not your "standard green" one. I don't want to do battle on a golf course!
Do you know any companies that make these kinds of modelling mats? I found a good one called Javis, but they only make small ones, like 2x1 ft.

So, links to eBay or web stores are much appreciated.

I havent heard of Javis but the two companies i know of are zuzzy and Hotz ArtWorks, both of them are reputable and both make mats in 6'x4'

I have 3 different Zuzzy mats, they are amazing. However they are a small organization and were absolutely horrible to order through. Their forums were full of people complaining about the time it takes to get your order. The lack of communication was my only complaint, had someone taken an hour every monday to email updates to the pending orders I and most others would have been much happier. If you can handle the potential for a long wait get one cause the mats are great.

Well I don't think these are really real gaming mats but Woodland Scenics have some good mat to put on boards and stuff. They do say they can be used for gaming and rolling back up and they are really affordable and easy to access (fast shipping etc) only cost $32 which is really good!

Theres the link to one of them but they have them in a variety of colours. They come in 50inch by 100 inch so something like 4.1 feet by 8.1 feet.

Hope that helps!

The Woodland Scenics mats look good and come in a few different finishes (gold course green, burnt summer grass, etc.), but they're not terribly hard-wearing things. They were really meant for model railroad layouts and dioramas, where ease of modification is more important than durability (they were designed to let you scrape patches clean to lay down roads and water features). Expect a lot of shedding with even relatively gentle use and know that a careless gouge is capable of stripping a spot down to the backing.

They're not terribly expensive, though, and look better than a lot of the alternatives, especially in their price range. Worth considering, at least, especially since you can beef them up a bit with a few sprayed coats of highly dilute PVA. Plenty of online sellers, too.

I have been doing some research on this. I am interested in gaming mats similar to what Mantic put together for Deadzone. Essentially rubberized mouse pads with some dye sublimation graphics from what I can see. Any company out there do 2x2 square cut mats like those with an option for custom art?

These guys are good for roll out mats...

IDK about square cut section mats but it seems an obvious thing to make. The problem would be to generate enough volume of orders to be profitable.

Of course you could buy a 6x4 mat and cut it up yourself.

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.
