I've been running through the NOVA site, and I can't seem to find where the results are posted. I was curious how my soft scores ended up coming in.

Thanks guys - the Nova link just shows the overall winners. Trying to figure out how my soft scores were done and see how I ended up stacking up for the renaissance man running.

For some reason the actual results aren't being posted anywhere. You think it would be easier to find!

Thanks,
BC

I'm pretty sure Torrent of fire shows Win loss, Battle Points and Paint. But I could be wrong.

If you need to figure out your Ren Man score / Ren Man Scores in general, the formula we use is this:

[ (0.1*(BP/120)) + (0.9*(Wins/6))]/1 .... where Wins/BP are counted only from your first 6 games
+
Paint Score / Highest Paint Score (in this case, 90)

I'll have to go find the ren sort we did prior to Game 7 to get it perfect in re: the impact of BP (which is very marginal), but you can get the gist if you just do Wins/6 + Paint/90

So Brian your rough Ren Score =
4/6 + 65/90 = 1.39

I went ahead and did everyone quickly; these are basically accurate; some of the BP differences may have shuffled some of the folks whose decimals to the 2nd digit behind the . are identical, but more or less here you have it. I've got the "formal" results tabulation from which we drew the Ren winner (was still DeFranza) on my personal laptop back at home. If you do the math in your head, BP basically serves a tiebreaking function for Ren, and nothing more ... as it will only end up impacting the third or fourth decimal spot.

One of my requests for Torrent for next year will be for it to automatically calculate Renaissance / etc.

Keep in mind multiple negative sports marks eliminated people from contention for any kind of placing (but we did not encounter this issue).

You get so used to playing for fun at a local game store and club, you ALMOST forget that tournaments like this one really punch holes in GW's credibility in balancing their game. I understand not all codex can be made on the same day, but these results with the same armies and builds over and over and over really make me lose interest in the game.

Just depends on your direction/intention; the Overall results are obviously different than the straight beat-face results.
