Hi all.

Fairly new wargamer from Norway here. I have been lurking lightly for a while, and decided that I might as well make a proper account so I can participate in the fun!

By being a fairly new wargamer I mean I have had armies since 2011, but didnt start playing early 2013.
*que the origin story* *que realization i had just written an entire essay, so here's the short(er) version*

Brother in law tries to trick me into WFB. Nope. Didn't work.
Brother in law successfully tricks me into splitting Assault on Black Reach with him. Curses.
Suddenly I play Orks. Don't know whether the game is fun or not, we play twice and shelf it for a year, convoluted and confusing rules are a big part of this.
Watch Miniwargamings "how to play Warmachine and Hordes" videos, (while looking for guides on how to paint orks) and fall in love with the Warjacks. after some reading about the game, promtly order the two player starter box, with a cunning plan to trick brother in law into playing Warmachine.
Didn't work, brother in law (BIL from here and out) had no more time for games, new baby arrived shortly before.
Learning to magnetize and paint models using some poor Orks and Khador warjacks. Still can't paint. getting better at magnetizing though.

Fast forward until mid 2013
Bitten by the "BUY ALL THE STUFF!" bug pretty bad, by this point I have a small force of 40K Orks, 19-20 points of Khador, Menoth, Legion and Circle (Warmachine and Hordes), and around 1500 points of WFB dwarfs, and possibly 2000 in Ogre Kingdoms.
With Convergence of Cyriss box and the dark vengeance box just ordered...

Things start happening. End up playing weekly games of Warmachine against a buddy who won a starterbox from a youtube competition.
BIL joins, ends up loving the firezealots of Menoth and buys em.
two more guys end up getting Hordes stuff. Sell my Circle and Legion to a mate. (still miss the legion buggers, probably gonna end up ordering them again sometime ( god I hope this is normal for this hobby!)
suddenly we are 5 W/H players, in the middle of nowhere, Norway! We might be roping in a sixth. ( I did good, PP)

I end up with awesome deal on assorted warhammer goods, I now suddenly have Necrons as well, and one of my mates have Eldars and Dark Eldars.
Group ends up playing 40K as well.

Happy end.

*except for the part where I never have the time to assemble and paint my stuff*
