Hi guys.
I have painted up a drop pod for my DA army and decided to base it in a crater as if its just landed but it doesnt look quite right. any ideas?

I'm picturing it in my head the way I would do it.... and it looks perfect! Change nothing!

But if you would post a pic of how YOU did it... I'll see if I can offer suggestions.

Did you trim off any of the bottom of the DP to appear as if it's embedded into the landing zone a bit? If not you could set it at a slight angle so it doesn't look like a model sitting in a plastic crater, but a drop pod that had just made a landing onto a hot LZ.

Perhaps position an orc's upper half emerging from under it with a very surprised look on his face.

thanks guys. The model is supposed to have landed in a ruined chapel in its hunt for Fallen Dark Angels.
I wanted the drop pod to be removable so didnt want to cut bits off.
I think i need to add more debris to the crater
