So, I'm trying to get a nice Fleur-De-Lis pattern for my marines as a chapter marking, and I'm complete rubbish at freehanding it. I've found and scaled a Fleur-De-Lis down to the size I want, and I'm practicing over and over doing it with an art pen to outline then coming in with paint after.
My question though, does anyone have any tips on making stencils this tiny? It would make it a darn sight easier, and my attempts with foam, transparency sheets, paper, and a couple other materials is completely failing. I've found Jewel and Bead patterns and fabric stencils and all sorts of crafty stuff for completely the wrong scale so at this point I'm thinking I'm reduced to just practicing making curves over and over and coming in after I've painted the entire army up and I'm a french symbol master. Automatically Appended Next Post: I've also tried sticky paper and wax paper and stuff too. I think I may just be cursed when it comes to being crafty.
