Hi all,
Finally have made the jump into the world of 40K. (long time Fantasy player)
and have dragged my brother and his buddy as well into the game.
I have started collecting arnie's (Necrons), my brother Dark Angels and his friend Dark Eldar.
Rules are a bit different so much to practice and learn.

Welcome! You'll get the hang of them pretty quick, they're not ENTIRELY unlike Fantasy, although there are major differences. The number one problem my friend had in the switch was trying to apply Fantasy rules with the same names or properties over. And he still groups his forces close as if they're in a marching formation, then immediately scatters the first time a template lands on him!
