1. what's the height, length and width approx.?
2. I'm going to make my own, I'm thinking of going with an ankylosaur/armadillo look, with no eyes. I don't like eyes. how do you guys think that would be?
lastly, what can I add as detail on the larger parts e.g the upper-arms.?

That would be a tall slender almost snake like body (the hierophant) replaced by a very wide bulky one.

You could do it, but it won't have a similar silhouette or profile.
Of course, if you are ok with that, then ok.

The hierophant is huge, almost a foot tall assembled, and the body is about 3-4" across. I love the idea of a big dino, but it would be quite different than a hierophant (again, if you are ok with that, thats great...).

Do some googling, you will find a few hirophant assembly posts out there, and a few vids.

As far as other details to add, you would want to;
* make some kind of spore chimneys, to match other big nids
* put some lash whips on it some where
* add lots of spikes!
* need some big bio weapons.

For the bio weapons maybe green stuff some tyrannofex cannons on the back or something.

best of luck and keep us posted!

Thanks mate! Yeah I'l definitely keep you guys posted.
I realise It will be Pretty unlike heirophant but reckon it will still be awesome. I'm really only making it to combat (display) against the warhound I'm planing on making. And to eat space marines. Lots of space marines.

ridges or armor plates.

if you don't want to model more detail...then paint it.

Splotches or uneven color patches will do a lot to imply texture.

best of luck!

Maybe add some rib-like details to the torso area similar to what other tyranid models have and add gentle segments to the rest similar to the underbelly of a snake.

Also if you want to go with more shorter and thicker legs you could add additional musclelike struktures (either armored or not) to connect the legs with the body. This way thicker legs would look more realistic and is also adds detail to the body.
