I tried to put together a competitive 1000 point CSM list and this is what I came up with. I was wondering if this list looks good and how it would do against other 1000 point lists.

Good and nasty for a 1000pt list but personally I wouldn't take the fist on the bike champion as it makes his mark pointless. I would stick to a power sword or lightning claw myself.

As for the Lord, can he take a burning brand and combi melta? He only has one ranged weapon to start with to exchange (bolt pistol) and one melee weapon to swap for his power sword. That means IIRC he can only carry two weapons.

Personally I would drop the combi and keep the burning brand. Maybe use the points to get the lord an invuln save (likely the aura of dark glory) or gift of mutation for a potential CC stat boost.

I agree with rohansoldier you don't need the fist on the lord and a claw would probably be better. You are right he cannot take a combi-melta and a burning brand and the points could be better spent on an invulnerable save.

Overall, I think the list is good and should be successful.

Your list looks good! very similar to mine actually. Maybe one thing is your scoring units are all of the sit and shoot type, i.e. not being so likely to score objectives far outside of your deployment zone.

Also, the brand and combi-melta is legal as the brand is an Artifact. But it seems a waste to have both. I would drop the combi-melta and go for the one more attack that the bolt pistol grants.

I think you will fare well against most opponents, weaknesses are fliers with AV 12 and vehicles with AV 13-14.

What do you think about replacing the plasmas with meltas? I feel that I don't have enough anti AV 13-14.

It seems like your going for a slaneesh themed list but personally I think nurgle bikers are far better. The +1 toughness really does count for a lot on bikes. And yes I agree meltas would be better as you have enough ap3 with your blast masters. Maybe switch one havoc squad to missile launchers for better av13/14 threat and also horde management? Just a couple of ideas.
