I have 105 points left, any thoughts? I know its not "competitive" I just want help filling out my 2k points of angelic hosts.

Id swap the sanguinor out and one sang priest. Now you have 455pts. With that I would get either:
A) 2 ravens for air support, melta guns on the hon guard for dante bomb, a fist and mb on the axe squad.
B) 20 assault marines with 4 melta guns to bulk out bodies, 3 melta guns on the hon guard for dante bomb and mb on the axe squad.
C) Stick with the same theme and get another axe sang guard squad, a sword sang guard squad and 4 melta guns on the hon guard for dante bomb, mb on an axe squad.
Or D) 1 raven and either an assault squad with two melta guns or sang guard with axes and fist, remaining points going on 3 melta guns for dante bomb and a mb thrown in somewhere.

All options deal and take more punishment than the sanguinor and 3 priests and a noviate will more than cover your army.

true, but I was using sangy for his buffs tbh. I would keep my units close together, and +1 to attacks from him, and +1 from the chapt. banner add up fast man lol. plus he gives someone +1 to lots of stats, and is a beat stick, as my sangy has a GE (axe).

Just realised - 10pts under with options C and D. Get another fist on a sang guard squad or 2 more mbs.

I still think he is massively overcosted even with his +1a buff. And if you are keeping them that close together you definitely dont need that many priests. I like the feel of a sang guard list even if it isnt 'competative'.

if your running a sanguinary spam there is no point of taking these guys. better to take infrenus pistols and toss dante into that squad to tank hunt. also since i don't have my codex handy i would also be better just to take another sang squad and priest if you have the ppoints for it. but i recomend at least 1 infernus pistol per squad.

It looks like a fun list and if painted well will look amazing on the table top. like i said i recomend at least 1 infernus pistol per squad. Also 2 powerfists is overkill in the squads may as well make them cheaper and take a power axe in place. we will save you 30 points to toss else where. not a fan of honor guards may as well take another sqaud of gaurd in there place as it give you more troops and overall the gaurd are better.

giving someone those stats is only true if you toss in a assualt squad as his rules say a SGT recieves his blessing. Unless the FAQ'd it.

but i would keep the sanguinor. He tends to draw ALOT of fire. Something about "baby jesus". And i don't know about everyone else but i have never lost him to shooting. even against Tau gunlines.

I lost him against avengers, guardians and serpents on 3 seperate occassions. And thats just eldar.
Hon guard are not that bad, for 165pts you get 5 with jps, 1 of whom is a priest (75pts) therefore, you are paying 90pts for 4 vets with jps, which in comparison to 100pts for 5 non vet assault marines, isn't bad. Admittedly this priest does not have IC status and doesn't have precision shot or the ability to change units.

haha i guess i just get really lucky on my rolls.

As for the Honor Guard. Yeah they are cheaper. But he needs another troop choice and the gaurd are better in close combat being able to re-roll one of their attacks.

Pretty much just stole this exact list and modified it slightly on my army builder! Some minor changes!

That is true. 6 of one half a dozen of the other. I like running hg with jps and 2 powerfists (mainly because that is how mine are built :-p), having a built in priest is pretty nice and they tend to get ignored if running alongside sang guard which compensates for their 3+ somewhat. Sang guard are undoubtably better, but my squad of hg cost 215 whilst a sang guard squad with fist and priest with mbs (how I run them) costs 290. Not saying ones better value than the other, if running either its usually an hg squad, 2 sang guard squads and 1 priest for me. Although in bigger battles I have often taken 4 sang guard squads when I have enough vindis, baals and raiders to distract fire.

chapter banner rerolls LD for moral and pinning and gives every one within a certain range extra attacks. Death masks can potentially make the enemy go at WS 1
