We are Magmod Scenics, a new terrain-making company that are about to get off the ground with our first kickstarter campaign. Our range is built for 28-32mm gamers and constructed out of vacuum cast, polyurethane resin and white metal. The buildings are magnetized and modular allowing easy access to the interiors and we have a number of detail kits to customise the models with.
Check out our Facebook page for more pics and videos. We really would like your feedback on this.

Inside your mind, corrupting the pathways

Do you have any pictures of what you get "out of the box" rather than fully painted and assembled? It is not 100% clear what you are actually getting

And as great as videos are, a lot of people want to just quickly look through some pictures - so more pictures please!

If you have an actual website, do you have a link?

We are just starting up, so we are still developing a web page. It is a good idea about photos of unpainted models and will upload some to the Facebook page over the next couple of days.

Cool - I look forward to seeing what you come up with

Do you have any information on what kinds of product lines you will be looking at? Historical (and era?)? Fantasy? Sci-fi?

Those look very nice, and have a lot of promise.

However, while I would guess that there is some demand for that period, will there be any sci-fi or modern terrain?

looking forward to more info.

The designs of this first set are quite generic and will suite many dark age, medieval and fantasy settings. We are starting at the bottom end of the social ladder and the eventual aim is to expand our farmstead into a medieval village, town and castle complex, all fully modular and magnetic. Obviously it's one step at a time and we are not ruling anything out at this stage and greatly value any feedback and suggestions for additions to the range. All the items you see in the pictures will be available in our upcoming Kickstarter from the small interior detail sets to fully painted complete sets and we have some damaged and on fire sections coming in the stretch goals (might have said too much there). Thanks for the interest.

I don't play historicals, so I can't really comment on the market for the terrain you have shown so far, but I can tell you there is a lot of interest in tudor-esque townhouses, coaching inns and so on for fantasy games. Certainly that is the case from what I have seen on Dakka when companies have posted showing off their wares.

Nice stuff, but at that price point, its too far out of my budget to get into.

Best of luck though!

Same here - nice, and desirable for a good Mierce Darklands setup, but too expensive for me.

Good luck!

Wow....yeah, those look neat and as a terrain maker and magnet enthusiast I applaud your design.

Even if it were in one of my my preferred genre - the price is way more than I would consider for something.

I am not saying that it might not be worth it for someone else, and yes it is nicer than most of flood of other terrain kickstarters these days....but, not for me.

I do wish you the best of luck however.

Under the couch

£35 for a haystack...?

It's nice looking stuff, but yikes.

Good luck with the Kickstarter, though.

Everyone across the various forums we are on has said the same thing- we like the products but the prices are too expensive.

We have listened and completely gone back to the drawing board and restructured our pricing based on what we can produce with new equipment that we will purchase if the Kickstarter is successful, as opposed to what we can produce with the equipment we have now. We appreciate that it is not ideal to be testing the market once the Kickstarter is up and running but we are new to this. We hope that these new prices are more in line with peoples expectations.

We greatly appreciate your advice, support and interest. Thanks.

Some people are wondering what our models look like “out of the box”. Here are some photos of our kits unpainted. Please note there may be slight variations in the colour of the resin.

There is also a full album of photo’s on our Facebook Page.
