I dont beleive I see any restriction on taking the same allied formation (does not count as primary/allies detachment) multiple times

Also Space Marine Detachments can start the game in the stormravens

1750pt list (1 HQ/ 4 Troops + 6 fliers):

HQ:

2 x Librarian 130pts

Troops:
2 x Tactical squad 320 pts
- Multi-Melta/Flamer, MeltaBombs

2 x Tactical squad 400 pts
- Multi-Melta/Meltagun, MeltaBombs
-DropPod

Allied Formation:

Storm Wing Formation 450pts
-Skytalon missiles

Storm Wing Formation 450pts
-Skytalon missiles


2000pt list (1 HQ, 3 Troops + 9 fliers):

HQ:

Chapter Master 170pts
-Artificer Armor, Storm Sheild, Melta Bombs

Troops:
3 x Tactical squad 480 pts
- Multi-Melta/Flamer, MeltaBombs

Allied Formation:

Storm Wing Formation 450pts
-Skytalon missiles

Storm Wing Formation 450pts
-Skytalon missiles

One thing I see in both lists are that you have tacticals in stormravens? If so your first list has just one pod coming in first turn. That squad will die and game over. The second list has a chapter master being very survivable on the board first turn. If he dies, game over.

I would consider combat squads with your tac marines if you do that it will give you home field objective squatters but you should go with something other then multi meltas.

Combi-meltas before multi-meltas, as a general rule.

Also, TFCs make great turn-stallers for fliers to enter.

looks like the first list always wants to go second, as you cannot be tabled on the first turn with your 1 pod if it cannot be shot at. That being said, you NEED to make the next turns reserve rolls with something in order to live. Also, if everyone starts in the transports in the second list, you auto-lose because at the end of the first game turn you have nothing deployed. Even if you combat squad everyone and deploy 15 models on the board, it's still really easy to kill 15 marines with 2000 pts of shooting.

Unfortunatly tiggy on rerolls for reserves in his detachment.

I suppose I could switch out the droppods in the first list for an adl and switch the tacs to missile launchers

Second list

Change mltimeltas to missile launchers and start launcher combat squads on the board
Switch out chaptermaster for a master of the forge with conversionbeamer (or a captain) and a adl


I'm guessing the best idea would be 1 formation at 1750pts and 2 at 2000pts and get some tfc's and some more board presence
