I want Centurion Devestators with grav cannons and power amps in my IG army. Because guard lack firepower. (jk)

Mostly the actual reason is because I think it would be awesome to field a really dangerous, tough Ogryn unit, and I think this is the best way of doing it.

I am looking for advice converting the metal Ogryn figures to a more armoured, bigger gun version. Has anyone done a conversion like this? My greenstuff skills are not amazing. HELP!

Well, why not pick up a box of devestators, or get some armor bits from a kit through trade, and figure out a way to attach them? Or, you could pick up some Fantasy Leadbelchers, the ogres with big cannons as guns, and throw some armor plates on them.

I think the plastic Leadbelcher kit combined with some shields or armor plates out of other kits, whatever your taste wants, would be the best way to pull it off.

I need to do a size comparrison between the Ogryns and the Ceturions to figure out if that would work. Not a bad idea. Its a shame the Ogryns are metal. Much harder to work with for kitbashing than plastic. The GW Ogres I've looked at and its handy that they ARE plastic, but I don't love the sculpts as much...

Think its about building on the Ogryns.

What about some of the troll models from LOTR?

I think the Mantic models are going to work best out of all the options. Great sculpts, lots of armor already on them, and they're plastic. All you need is to spruce them up with Scifi bits and add guns

I used the WFB Ogres, added some Ork shoulder plates and a plasticard plate over the belly-hole (where the round armor plate fits in), then used the armor plate for a doughboy style helmet. For the gun I sued a mix of Ork shootas or bashed a heavy bolter with an autocannon magazine.
And I trimmed up them pointy elf shoes into something more human.

They have .... man boobs .... I have NEVER seen those models before. I actually went to the GW website and found out that GW makes the male models that should have bras on .... or bros, since they are ... you know DUDES!

Man boobs grant T5 and each one is an individual wound (Ogryn have 3 wounds).
