Vendetta - holding vets - 130

Heavy Support
Punisher - pintle storm bolter, HB, sponson HB - 210
Executioner - hull lascannon, sponson plasma cannons - 245
Battle Tank - pask, hull lascannon, sponson plasma cannons - 255

psyker is put with non power sword chimera, added prescience to use on punisher. techpriest hangs behind the line to repair whatever gets hit. demo vets are for dropping behind armor, pretty self explanitory

He ended up bringing a tau gunline. 2 fire warrior troops, pathfinder, 2 tanks, one was the tank hunter (dont know much tau names) and some broadsides. almost tabled him by turn 2 when his commander deep struck behind my tanks (second deep strike unit failed). popped a chimera before I almost tabled him a second time. He decided to call it quits before his turn 3

First off, your tech priest. He's 165 points for something that can unreliably repair vehicles. Get rid of him and just buy a new vehicle instead. Preferably also get rid of the Psyker and make your HQ an additional Veteran Squad in a Chimera that isn't scoring (A CCS). Primaris Psykers CANNOT get prescience.

Next, you most certainly will not need those bolt pistols are the power sword.

Are you aware of the FAQ that removes Lumbering Behemoth from Russes? On your BT if you fire the main cannon, everything else fires snap shots. Furthermore, I don't know why you gave the BT Pask when both the Punisher and Executioner are much better candinates

the priest and psyker I put up just to finally try them. honestly only chance I had to repair I forgot to
battle tank never moved to fully take advantage of pask, and with the psyker prescience-ing the punisher it was better than pask.
true bolt pistols were just to spend 5 (4) points and power sword was more insurance vs orks
I originally had CCS but was trying to save points with cheaper HQ, suppose I went over anyway with tech priest
overall I knew it wasnt prime but still slaughtered those tau!

That's the thing about the Psyker, he can't take Divination powers.

If you give the BT Pask, that is one extra shot. per turn that he is boosting. Give him to an Executioner, it becomes 6 and the Punisher is 32.

The latter two options will destroy any light vehicles that ever decide to show their faces, along with their usual targets. A single boosted Battle Tank shot is just such a waste for Pask.

You could however still have a character dedicated to prescience by taking a 55 point inquisitor

that does make sense and my last choice on the list was which of those two tanks to put him on.

I had a hard time finding what powers guard can take, I just took divination from remembering a thread on here somewhere saying any cheap ig psyker can take prescience without rolling, so assumed it was good on all guard.

second always had a question on when taking book powers, do you have to trade all codex powers for one table? pick and choose tables for all codex powers? or pick and choose what to keep and what tables?

A Primaris Psyker may use the psychic disciplines found in the Warhammer 40,000 rulebook, instead of those in Codex: Imperial Guard. If he does so, generate two new powers from the Biomancy, Pyromancy, Telepathy and telekinesis disciplines (in any combination) before armies are deployed.

If you haven't looked at it yet, you really need to check out the FAQ http://www.games-workshop.com/MEDIA_CustomProductCatalog/m3440050a_Imperial_Guard_v1.4_September_13.pdf
