So recently I've tried to strip an army of Ultramarines using Simple Green....it went very well for the first few models, but I'm beginning to find that most of the models were primed with a VERY tenacious blue that just isn't going anywhere. I read that spray paint can stain plastic, which i believe is the case here...I'm new to painting, so my question is simple: will I be able to paint a bright color scheme (silver and red) over a primer of Ultramarines blue? I originally decided to strip these marines because they are very dark in color and I wanted something flashier on the table.

some of the darker primers (black, in particular) simply don't wash off no matter how much you scrub. that said, you should have no trouble if you just re-prime the cleaned models with a white or light gray. bright colors will go on over that just fine.
