New player looking for feedback on list. If anyone sees any over glaring weaknesses please let me know offer some suggestions as to how you would fix it.

Aegis Defense Line, Icarus Lascannon - 85 pts

Company Command Squad, Astropath, Officer of the Fleet, Lascannon - 130 pts

Infantry Platoon:
Platoon Command Squad – Autocannon – 40pts
3x Infantry Squad w/Autocannon 180pts

Veterans (in a vendetta), 3x Melta - 100 pts

Marbo - 65 pts

Vendetta - 130 pts

Vendetta - 130 pts

2x Leman Russ Battle Tank - 300 pts

Manticore, Camo Netting - 190 pts

Leman Russ Executioner, Plasma Sponsons - 230pts

Space Wolves Allies:

Rune Priest (for Divination) - 100pts

Rune Priest (Codex Powers. Most likely Jaws of the World Wolf and Living Lightning) - 100pts

9 Grey Hunters (with codex Rune Priest attached), Melta, Standard, Mark of the Wolfen, Drop Pod - 200 pts

Total = 1980 pts.

This leaves me with 20 points left over that I am unsure what to buy with. Maybe some HB sponsons for the Vendettas? The idea is that my army starts off behind the aegis with Russes up front to line of sight block the enemy shots on my troops. My Grey Hunters w/Rune Priest, Marbo and melta Vets will deepstrike in behind enemy lines and wipe out any high priority targets. The Divination Rune Priest will sit back all game giving Precience to the Manticore or Russes while the platoon bubble wraps around my tanks and special characters until reserves are out, preventing deepstrikes.

First problem is you can only take 1 Hq for allies so 1 RP has to bite it, Drop the lascannon from the CCs, Drop the camo netting.

With points you have now buy another vet squad with 3 meltas to go in the other vendetta, Buy an OotF for a cheap 30pts template of tear, I love the plasma tank but I believe that some ordnance would be better, or hydras for AA.

Also if you can upgrade the lascannon on the defense line to a quad gun.

I was under the same impression as Nijtrent59 that I could take 2 HQ's from the SW Codex.

You are correct - every HQ slot allows a Space Wolves player to bring 2 HQ units.

I'd recommend putting the rune priest on the Icarus and giving him a Chooser of the Slain, which can go anywhere that the model can be set and gives the Rune Priest a +1BS to anything in its (the Chooser's) line of sight. It will certainly give a one-shot Icarus more bang for its buck for only 10 points. Also, your enemy cannot Infiltrate within 18" of a Chooser. Against some armies, and placed right, it's pretty awesome. You can even get your other RP a CotS, to boost his Living Lightning shooting and keep a pretty huge area free of Infiltrators (2 36" radius circles).

That's true. I forgot that CotS gives the +1 to ballistic skill. This really adds a nice effect. Great suggestions.

Where does it say that SW can take 2 hqs as allies?
