So I'm about to start this build for something different and cool looking. It is just for fun but do you think this could be remotely competitive?

Also any ideas on wether to stick with zagstruk? I don't like the idea of having an ork in there but he would be useful. I may be able to convert a grot with his Vulcha klaws...

Warboss in mega armour (FW runtbot) w/boss pole

18 grots w/runtherder
18 grots w/runtherder
18 grots w/runtherder

20 stormgrots (from the stormboy kit) w/zagstruk

3 zzap guns w/6 extra crew, runtherder and 3 ammo runts
3 killa kans w/grotzookas and grot riggers

Aegis (ork barricades) with quad gun (FW ork one)

Zagstruk is pretty decent for a drop in and assault unit, even if it costs you grots. The idea is pretty cool, but I would go with another squad of guns over kans. Guns are more durable and put out more fire. If you decide to keep the kans, drop riggers and trick out your boss a bit more.

Probably not that competitive.

Id recommend using kannons over zzap guns as they are more points efficient as well as more effective.

Interesting and fun looking list..
For the Stuntbot I think I would use the BIG MEk/MegaArmour statline thou with Cybork and Run him with the Kans(so you can ditch the riggers and still have an effective unit)
you may want to consider grot prods on the Runtherd with the Grots(nice to have a poison weapon up there)

As to Zagtruck do up a conversion that works for the rest of this army

My Orks have grots secretly running the operation from the shadows, and as such I've also been trying to come up with a grot-ified Zagstrukk model. My thought was to make something like an Star Wars Ep 1 pod racer, with a Gretchin barely maintaining control of two massive jet engines, perhaps with blades coming off the sides? I believe Zag has a terminator-sized base, so that gives you some wiggle room for creativity.

Anyway, I look forward to hearing what you decide on.

@Morfydd: great great idea!!! Didn't know what to do with the runtbot til now!!! Will stick with zzaps though, I know everyone says kannons are better but if you have to deal with high AV I'd rather use an ammo runt on a S9 or 10 hit any day.

@daisywondercow: I'll do best to make a grot zag and post a pic here sometime in the near future. I like the pod idea and have seen it done so just Google ork pod racer and you should get a taste (it looks amazing the one I saw)

One look at that list Im still laughing. That'd be fun as hell to play with or against. I remember them having a pump wagon kind of machine in 40k iirc is that still around? Maybe throw in one of them for giggles

The pump wagon was in fantasy, love that thing so may need to make a buggy out of it.
