Thought I would publicise this here as I haven't seen it mentioned yet.

Minicon 2014

Come along to Gloucestershire's greatest gaming event! In our third year, and growing every year, MiniCon brings traders, clubs, designers, fans and newcomers together in the amazing environment of the National Star College.

Family and child friendly, with food on site, full disabled access and free parking.

Held at the National Star College, Ullenwood in Cheltenham GL53 9QU

Entrance is £5, last year there was a free goody bag upon entry. Believe opening times are 10:00 - 17:00
Not sure if there is full list of attendees yet, but last year included (amongst others)
- Official presence from Warlord Games, Gripping Beast (SAGA), Mongoose Publishing, Ainsty Castings, Dice & Decks + others
- Loads of trade stands, bring & buy + all the major GW games plus tons of others
- Demo games of all types, some pretty spectacular terrain and tables
- Food, inc. bacon butties

I'm not anything to do with running the event, so don't know the exact details but I'm sure there will be a ton more stuff!
Was a lot of fun last year, and the event has been growing in attendance year on year. Would thoroughly recommend it and no doubt will be a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon.

I've been to this event for the last two years and for the ticket price it is well worth attending. There are enough participation games for the size of the crowd that there is always something to do and last year's Cutlass board (at least, I think it was Cutlass) was freaking awesome. I would be going this year too, if I hadn't just moved down to Cornwall at Christmas :(

Well, I'm sure you must be missing the west country Siygess, why not use this as an excuse to head up?

Event will be going ahead this Sunday, all signs are that it will be bigger and better than last year!

Are there any gaming clubs in Gloucester, Cheltenham or Stroud area that you know of? Looking to get a game of either 40k, Necromunda, Bloodbowl or Deadzone.

I'm pretty sure they run games at Total Wargamer in Evesham although if you are in Gloucester, Evesham is just as far as Bristol (where there are also a few clubs). Hopefully one of the local groups who run demo games at Minicon will chime in and give you their details.

Edit: Oops, I sed you are in Eastington. I guess Evesham is probably a little far.
