Here's 1500 points of Salamander fluffiness. I think it'll hit pretty hard but still remain true to the Promethian Creed:

HQ:
Vulkan
Master of the Forge on bike(?)

Troops:
Sniper scouts with veteran sergeant
Tactical squad with combi-melta, multi-melta, and flamer in drop pod
Tactical squad with combi-melta, multi-melta, and flamer in drop pod

Fast Attack:
Assault squad, veteran sergeant, power weapon, combat shield, and flamer x2, in drop pod

Heavy Support:
Venerable dreadnought with DPW/HF, multi-melta, in drop pod with locator beacon and deathwind launcher
Venerable dreadnought with DPW/HF, multi-melta, in drop pod with locator beacon and deathwind launcher
Ironclad dreadnought with twin HF (could go melta/HF), assault launchers, in drop pod with deathwind

I infiltrate my scouts into a ruin fortified by my MotF. I drop my three dreads turn one to take out the hardest hitting targets. I'm still debating between MM or assault cannon for this role. Depending on the number of objectives, I'll drop my tacs on those, or into the fight. Vulkan will be attached to the assault squad and dropped into the thick of it. The MotF will zip around and fix what he can. The scouts are there to harass key targets and potentially seize a late game objective. I used an app to create this list, which allowed my to take my MotF on a bike and keep his harness. I'll change this if he can't.

I swapped out my AC's for MM's. This allows me to dedicate my Dreads to AT and then tie up squads that will pose a threat to the rest of my army. To make up the points, I added two deathwind launchers to annoy blobs in the deployment zone.

I d go with multi melta on dreads and add some deathwind launchers great against hordes

I changed up the AC's for MM's and I think that'd work pretty well. By adding DW launcers, I'm adding a large blast to drop on hordes, changing my vens from multi-purpose to single purpose, but better at their jobs.

Thanks!
