Trying to build 1250 list for friendly tournament.
Here's what I got so far-

* Overlord w/ Sempiternal Weave, Staff of Light (105pts) [B]
* Harbinger of Despair w/ Nightmare Shroud (40pts) [C]

+ Elites + (195pts)
* 5x Deathmarks + Night Scythe (195pts) [C]

+ Troops + (201pts)
* 8x Immortals (136pts) [B]
* 5x Warriors (65pts)

+ Fast Attack + (365pts)
* 5x Wraiths w/ 1x Whip Coils (185pts) [A]
* 3x Heavy Destroyers (180pts)

+ Heavy Support + (180pts)
* Annihilation Barge (90pts)
* Annihilation Barge (90pts)


Not quite sure, but something feels off.
(thinking maybe drop the Heavy Destroyers for another unit of Troops? Warriors in a Nightscythe, for example. Problem then would be reduced ability to handle MCs and Vehicles)
Could use some advice...

(For reference, other armies taking part include 2 Tau, 3 'Nid, several Marine & IG players, and possibly Orks. Being the case, I really am going to need a TAC list that covers all the bases (anti: MEQ, TEQ, MC, Horde, AV. Plus troop mobility). I'd rather avoid playing douche-Wraith-Scythe-spam as much as possible).

Give your Cryptek the veil deep strike him with deathmarks for hfh.

Give your scythe to the immortals for objective grabs. You could slim to 5 to save points

Your troops have no transport.

Drop the o Lord and destroyers

The Cryptek and deathmarks will deal with that which must die

Destroyer and wraiths will do mc

More troops and transport.

Yeah, I had been considering giving the Deathmark's NS to the Warriors (not the Immortals. Immortals are better for walking up and taking/holding objectives, where as Warriors, being more vulnerable, are better for sitting in their ride and jumping out on turn 5).
But the problem with trying to deep strike a D&D squad is they have a nasty habit of mishapping when you try to get close enough to use the flamer. Stick them in a Nightscythe and you can pinpoint insert them next to their target without worry.
...
And, uh, if I drop the Overlord I won't be able to take the Despair-tek.

Destroyers, on the other hand, I'm more flexible with... though I really would prefer to take down MCs from afar (Wraiths+D.Lord have to make it through a lot of overwatch before they can get into contact with a Riptide, after all).


Oh, and pro-tip: never EVER rely on Gauss for anti-AV.

Removed the Overlord and Despair-tek, relying on double Deathmarks to take care of MCs.
Kept the H.Destroyers for anti-AV/TEQ duty.
Just wish I could have fit in a squad of regular Destroyers for their Marine wiping ability.
