I am currently painting a Looted Eldar Falcon for my Rebel Grots, and it has battle-damage. Usually I just paint the damage metal/rust, yet, I can't believe the Eldar use metal for their vehicles. What would be a good colour to be under the paint-job? And does anyone know what the Eldar make their vehicles out of?

They use wraithbone for almost everything structural. Usually it isdepicted as a light bone colour, but you could any colour you wanted really. Kinda plasticy but also a bit organic looking is the rule I think.

Thanks for the answer, ah yes, Wraithbone sounds familiar. I'll play around with some colours. The hull is green so I think white scratches would be good, maybe mixed with some lightish grey.

Flinty is right. Note that Dark Eldars vehicles however are made of metals.
In case you would like to loot one of them anyday.

For wraithbone I would go with a dark greyish bone colour.
