Hey Dakka, going to be testing out my new (yay ) Tyranid codex with some good old fashioned 6e Kill Team and wanted to get people's opinions on my list.
I left out the point totals for obvious reasons, but should be pretty easy to follow what I did here. Anyway, would love feedback on this and people's suggestions. For those curious
the local Meta around here is Tau, a Sister's player, a Ultramarines player, a Necron Player, and a Chaos Marines guy who just started.

Tyranid Warrior Brood
Unit: 3, Fleshhooks

*Lashwhip & Bonesword, Deathspitter
*Barbed Strangler, Scything Talon
*Deathspitter, Rending Claws

Hormagaunt Brood
Unit: 10 (Bog Standard)

This build comes up to 199pts, so 1 pt under. Figured this would cover synapse well, give me a good mix of shooting and assault, and still have a nice small swarm of wannabe zerg (hormagaunts) to charge the enemy.

My thoughts for specialists are LW & Bonesword Warrior getting Shred (Re-roll failed To-Wounds in CC) Barbed Strangler Warrior as my Leader, Deathspitter / Rending Claws getting Scout, and finally one of the Hormagaunts getting Fleshbane (Always wounds Non-vehicles on a 2+ in CC).

5,500pts
2,100pts
6,000 pts
1,900 pts
2,800 pts
1,750 pts

Wow, I've got way too much into this hobby!!!

As a tau player, the farsight variety, I'd be loading up on missle pods since your warriors are only 4+ save right? Just something to be aware of.
