Generally, I only play against Tau (totally unfun). I was thinking about using Harpies to pick off Pathfinders or other soft Markerlight support; TL large blasts mitigate BS3 accuracy issues. Pin something, maybe. Draw fire from Flyrants. Drop spores over units when it's safer to do so? Hide Warriors all game out of sight behind terrain or something until they're safe from ID. Make a dash for objectives or something later in the game. Use Tyrannofex to shred infantry of all kinds. Enemy pretends not to worry about two of them killing all of his troops; double template action mitigates BS3 accuracy issues. Exocrine can either move and drop AP2 large blast or sit still and fire BS4 S7 AP2 Assault 6 against something (anything with a 2+/3+ Sv). Zoanthropes roll powers. Catalyst, Onslaught or Paroxysm are preferred. Warp Blast things (burst against 3+ Sv units, lance vehicles) if they can; or buff/debuff a enemy if that would be more helpful. Flyrants try for the same powers and do what Flyrants usually do.

Thoughts? My idea is just careful target priority, really. Be strategic with movement, too, I guess.

Mass flyers can work. Having the flyrants does tend to take away from the harpy being fragile as the flyrants will be getting closer, quicker. I'd be tempted to run at least one crone rather than a harpy for the vector strike. HS I would take at lest one mawloc as they are good against fire warriors and pathfinders hiding behind an aegis. That frees up a few points so you're below 1,850 now.

Not exactly gimmicky just a solid Nids list. Perhaps swap a Zoan for a Venomthrope. Personally I'd drop the dessicator Larvae and get HVC on the Harpies this would also make you list legal as you're 5 points over currently.

Need more swarm. When they kill the 9 warriors you won't be able to take any objectives. Maybe drop a few things like a group of warriors, one zonethrope and a harpy for a tervigon and 30 termaguants.

Drop a T-fex and add 3 biovores, they will help kill those fire warriors in cover and save a few points not to mention Tau have plenty of AP2 shots, with the extra points you should be able to upgrade a harpy to a crone.

The other problem I see is that running zonethropes alone means they are easy first blood targets, maybe take 2 and put them in a squad?? IDK if that ruins your strategy with them or not.

I think that 5 FMC may just be overkill, scoring units are a must in 6th save some points and take more troops.

Not sure how the points would work out, you will probably have extra but your army I think would work better together and look like

- The Biovores are there to get in early turn hits on Markerlight squads and wreak havoc on infantry the whole game.
- Crones and Flyrants are for anti-air and then once the skies are Tyranid cotrrolled they will Vector strike and Tentaclid (if ay remain) vehicles and high threat targets. And then there is the drool cannon template for infantryt that I really want gone.
- 5 Zoans, for synapse redundancy, powerful anti-armour and high chances of getting the hive mind powers I want.
- 80 Horms, skitter from cover to cover making ground and tarpitting units
- 2 Tyrannofexs to soak damage, spew torrents of acid on infantry and wreck armor in close combat.
