So this might seem like a silly question.

Okay, So I'm looking to making a mercenary Highborn Covenant army.

Taking Ashlynn, she gives 6 points for warjacks, I'm intending to take 2 Vanguards ( 5 points apiece). So she has enough points to cover one completely. Now If I calculate it points, and use that other point towards, the second Vanguard, does that Vanguard NEED to be in her Battlegroup? Or can I assign that to one of the 'Jack Marshals I intend to take, such as Shaw?

If it's using her WJ Points, it needs to be in her battlegroup.

Primal p38 under encounter levels. It should be in the same place in Prime.
