So I am helping my friend out by making a Necron list with him. He wants the list to be good, but isnt going for some tournament winning build. What I am trying to say is that there might be some choices in this list that you really dont agree with, but keep in mind that its because he likes the units. Without further adue, here is the list:

Spoiler:
Overlord(190) - Warscythe, S Wave, ResO, Phase Shifter
Royal Court (390) - 2x Necron Lord (135) - Warscythe, S Wave, ResO, Phase Shifter
1x Necron Lord(120) - Warscythe, ResO, Phase Shifter

10x Necron Warriors - Night Scythe (230)
10x Necron Warriors - Night Scythe (230)
10x Necron Warriors - Night Scythe (230)
5x Necron Warriors(65)
5x Necron Warriors(65)

Doom Scythe - 175
Doom Scythe - 175
Doom Scythe - 175

Skyshield Landing Pad - 75

The Overlord goes with one of the warrior squads in the Night Scythe. Two out of the three Lords in the Royal Court (the two with more wargear) go with the other two squads of warriors embarked in Night scythes. The last Lord in the Royal Court goes in the backfield in the area of the two warrior squads of 5. All of the Flyers DS onto the Skyshield Pad essentially trying to just overload your opponent. The Doom Sycthes are just there for sheer fire power and once the area is cleared enough "boots" will be on the ground as the warriors and Overlord/Lords disembark.

Please give feedback on the list in any way! Again not my list, just wanted to post it for a friend. Thanks!

Too much res orb (only really worth it in 15 plus Warrior squads) and points on Lords (without mindshackle) , not enough killing power. 135 points on each of those Lords is crazy, they will do very little and still get easily killed in assault.

Night scythes can't deep strike.

2x 5 warriors and a lord starting on the board isn't enough.

Thanks for the feedback. My friend keeps saying that he wants to DS the flyer. I don't know why, but I haven't been able to find the page in the rulebook saying that you can't. Do you know where I could find those rules? I play Tau and he has played against me a lot and I DS Crisis Suits with a Commander sometimes. What I need to explain to him is that you just have fliers come on and then quickly more across. They really just present and immidate problem for your opponent. How do I explain this to him?

Necron Faq, page 2, bottom right.

Page51/91–NightScythe,SpecialRules.
Remove the Deep Strike special rule.

Should make it clear! Same for doom scythes.
