So after coming up with the concept of IF devs in a bastion with an ammo dump (yes im sure its been done before but it was a lightbulb moment for me personally), I decided to stretch this idea as far as it could go and here is my result:

Firstly the IF devs in a bastion with ammo dump basically provide an AV14 stationary tank with unlimited hullpoints and 3 (pretty much) bs5 lascannon shots and a further bs9 lascannon shot, due to the rerolls of 1 combined with a signum. Being IF they are also tank hunters so reroll failed pens. The building then also gets to fire 9 bs2 heavy bolter shots at a different target. One of these bastions with a fist las dev squad totals a reasonable 240pts.
Taking an imperial strongpoint allows you to take 3 of these and an ADL (mine has comms for reasons which will be obvious).
These 3 bastions should provide plenty of AT. So what else is needed is AA and anti troop.
The anti troop is filled by 2 punishers, 1 being pask, giving 58 st5 PE shots, 29 at bs4, 20 of those rending.
The AA is filled with 2 skyhammer stormtalons. These can also hunt back field artillery and seriously punish troops.
The troops are a platoon squad, with a libby joining the blob for atsknf, these can help bubblewrap. And 2 bolter drill squads of scouts.
A battle tank deals with any pesky 3+ save marines or tanks the bastions somehow doesn't take down and adds to the immense amout of av14.
The final points are taken up with a rhino mounted assault squad for counter assaults with 2 flamers. This hides behind a bastion until needed.
The 35 troops all have a 2+ cover save behind the adl when gtg.

Scary amount of durable firepower? Originally I was worried about MCs but when I tought about it, the sheer weight of firepower from pasks squadron, combined with the talons and 12 ridiculously accurate lascannon shot should lay waste to them too.

Well, bastions can be shot at and killed like any AV14. Other then if you don't get first turn and then get wreaked looks great.

Also don't be so eager to take psychic shriek, its a good power but roll of invisibility first.

Tbf though most lists cant deal with 6 AV 14's and 2 flyers at 2k. Especially when 3 of those av14s can't even be glanced out.
And when it comes to troops - 27 heavy bolter shots from the bastions, 58 PE st5 shots from pasks squadron, 8 tl st6 and 6 st7 bs5 shots from the talons, 4 flamers, a leman russ ordinance blast, and finally upto 56 lasgun and 26 bolter shots. It's not that bad if the opponent takes lots of troops.

Yeh good idea - I will roll for invis or pupet master first. Good call!

Be realistic on your anti infantry shooting. You have have be in facing for the HB turrets (and even then the ones your in LOS to are BS2). The punishers are range 24", the las guns are range 24", the flamers are 8" templates, leman russ is great, bolters are 24". The only anti infantry you have that is consistent is the russ and storm talons.

Most anti infantry weapons in the game are 24". And most people dont highlight 24" as an issue when other armies main anti infantry guns are mass lasfire or bolterfire.
What I could do is drop the leman russ and assault squad, along with a flamer on the pcs. Then invest in a deathstrike, hide it behind a bastion, forcing the opponent to come to me and into 24" range. If he sits back instead then a mega ton of his infantry can just dissapear in 1 shot. With the remaining points I would get a dual mm deepstriking landspeeder to help the lascannons with any av14 targets.

Death strike ML is OK, but mantacore is better IMO, more shots= more wounds= more reason to attack it.

Also i'm not trying to put this list down, it looks solid but I think at 2k if you have a hard meta it might not last vs a WAAC list (and not the death stars though, they will give you a hard time).

I think you may be right about the manticore...
So if I drop the assault squad + rhino, the battle tank and the platoon and instead get a maticore, another skyhammer stormtalon and a vet squad with autocannon and 3 snipers it begins to look scarier.
The only problem then would be 20 troops. Although I could keep the scouys in reserve and use the comms to keep them off the board for as long as possible for outflanking objective grabs. Or just hide them behind bastions.
