I am considering starting a White Scars made up successor chapter, focused on bikes and honestly, simplicity for me.

List is ...close, I think. I've got 41 points free for movement.

Concerns - Model footprint, bad dice, dealing with flyers, assault.
Desires - One size fits all army, preference not to have units not benefiting from chapter tactics, mobility, fear (not the rule) causing units.

Commentary is appreciated.

The list

HQ

-Khan on Moondrakken
-Captain - Bike, Artificer Armour, Primarchs Wrath (Hoping I can replace bike gun), Lightning Claw, Storm Shield.
-Command Squad X2 - Bikes, 4 Vets with Grav and Storm Shields, and apothecary.

Troops

- Bike Squad - Sarge w/combi grav , 2 Bikes w/Grav guns, 1 Plain old biker, Attack bike w/MM
- Bike Squad - Sarge w/combi grav , 2 Bikes w/Grav guns, 1 Plain old biker, Attack bike w/MM

Fast Attack

- Bike Squad - Sarge w/combi grav , 2 Bikes w/Grav guns, Attack bike w/MM
- Bike Squad - Sarge w/combi grav , 2 Bikes w/Grav guns, Attack bike w/MM


This looks like "all eggs in one basket" to me, but the grav guns should provide me threat to virtually anything. That being said I only have 26 models total on the field.

My thought process is as follows :

Durable Units - Harass and chip away.
Hordes - Harass/Ignore and make them use their cardio.
Vehicles - Focus Fire

My command squads are their to provide threat. "OMG KILL THOSE ..." I *think* if you ignore them, you'll regret it, and they should be quite durable with jink, FNP, and 3/4. These are for your Riptides, Wraiths, and all the units I especially despise.

Obvious weaknesses are AA and melee, but I figure Hit and Run should allow me to manage melee. AA I plan on ignoring, meta isn't flyer heavy. Khan is basically a tax here. I want/need

Thoughts? I'm not fragile so if this is downright stupid, Just say so. Just say why. I intend on modelling them after a biker gang, either Mongols or Pagans.

TLDR - Bike gang, will it work? I like grav. Need advice.

Gravs can be fun.

What i would do to your list is drop the captain and his command squad, you already have an hq and at 1500 points you dont really need two. Buy some more troop bikes with the points from the command squad and also move the fast attack bikes to troops so you have more scoring units. And get a stalker for your air threats, you should have the points for it by taking out the captain. If you have any extra points get some more bikes and melta bombs.

Other than that it looks like a good base, you just need to refine it a little and you will be good to go!
